For making Sour dough you need good sour dough starter , sour dough is the kind of bread where no need to add yeast only one thing you need and that is starter . Feeding starter everyday will give you nice sponge sour dough.

For the starter you need

Rye flour 50g

All purpose Flour 50g

water - 100g

  • 850g-bread Flour

  • 94 g - Whole wheat flour or Rye Flour

  • 790g-Water

  • 15g-Salt

  • 30g-Ripe sourdough starter

Recipe for sourdough

When I made sourdough first time it wasn't perfect as usual but I continuously tried it many times then I made it perfect at the end .

First when you make sour dough you need to mix water and flour together until smooth .

Then add salt and starter and kneed until dough become smoother.

Before you cut the dough and keep for proving , you must dust the sourdough basket with lot of flour .

then cut the dough around 500g each and put in basket

the dough takes around 4-5 hour to improve

Then demoed sour dough in baking pot sprinkle the flour on top then give 2 blade cuts on dough top and cover it .

Pre Heat oven for 230 degree then bake the dough for 35 minutes (please keep 1 pot water inside the oven )

After that remove the cover and bake another 10 minute in 200 degree temperature.
